Rick's Favorite Movie Lines
  • Oh Buba, nooo.
  • Your powers are weak, old man.
  • "The Screwdriver"
  • Stupid is as stupid does.
  • I find your lack of faith disturbing.
  • Once you understand a thing, you know what it's capable of.
  • "The Dutch"
  • Hooper drivers the boat, Chief.
  • I don't mean to be rude by not facing you. But that test is far too simple to demand my full attention.
  • Death is...whimsical today.
  • Markinson's gone. There is no Markinson.
  • I'm gonna hammer on that monkey skull of yours 'til it rings like a Chinese gong!
The Rick and Bobo Movie Line game is another trivia game my brother and I have been playing for years. All you do is pick a line from a movie, a line that is specific to that movie, and the other person tries to guess. Easy, huh?

Now, "specific to the movie" means that it shouldn't be too generic. For instance, "He slimed me." You're not gonna hear that anywhere else but in Ghostbusters. But there are also lines that can be a little more generic, but still unique, like "I have been so advised." Any idea what that is from?

So give it a shot, throw out your favorite lines and we will have a bit of fun. Rick, tell our guests what that "advised" line is from.

  1. That particular quote, which you are so fond of quoting, was spewed by Tom Cruise to the Bacon in response to Bacon's condescending rebuke about accussing an officer of a crime without proper evidence. a damn good movie, starring everyone in Hollywood at the time. including Jack Nicholson, who should have won an oscar by the way. Now this was pre-meltdown-era-Cruise, so there is really no excuse for not knowing the line, unless you were so stunned by Kevin Pollack playing a Naval officer that nothing else made sense. Anyway, that's all i have to say about that. Now what is that line from?
  2. All I have to say about that, was Hank's catch phrase in Gump. Try this one on for size..."To Perry, a dead man."
  3. "My husband, has a gun!"and the reply, "Yes, and for all i know he shot it while you screamed." don't try to get me on Arthur, you're better than that. how do you feel about, "cops don't like me, so i don't like cops."
  4. No clue. I remember the "I hate rent-a-cops too" line from Men at Work, "This is for the cops" from Fletch. But this line eludes me.
  5. Oh, you missed a line from RoboCop. How unfortunate. The bad bald guy said it just before he blew off Weller's hand. You shouldn't play this game with me. you ar eill-prepared. do you know who said, "i'm sorry, did i break your concentration?"?
  6. Damn! You got me on a RoboCop. But that wasn't fair, that was a pretty obscure quote. But don't even attempt to get me on a Pulp Fiction line. Okay Brain Boy, this quote only has two words... "Piggly Wiggly."
  7. Just because your mind operates on simple phrases does not mean that mine does as well. expand your quote, or admit it's random obscurity.
  8. A movie, where an old woman repeatedly wanted to go to...the Piggly Wiggly. Oh, it also happened to win an academy award, and feature the actor who once said this in a different movie..."That will suck the paint off your house and give your family a permanent orange afro." Is that enough? Or shall I spell it our for you?
  9. we said no cheating with imdb. you cheat. there is no way you actually sat through Driving Miss Daisy. it never happened, and we both know it never happened. still, i suppose you do need to cheat to keep up. truly you are in a bad way. how bout this nugget, "There is no spoon?"
  10. Hey, I loved Driving Mrs. Daisy. A tender tale of a friendship that broke all boundaries. Classic. Now lookit. There is no need to insult me with a Matrix line. For god sakes, it's why we wrote Rick and Bobo! Try this one..."Guess we better call that dick general."
  11. Hey! Where'd you guys go?! I finally got one right! - the Matrix line! I was getting hopeful here ;-)
  12. nice job jenshka. Bobo liked "Evolution," despite the acting, and the ending, but the "dick general" line from Sean William Scott was decent. how about this then, "No disintegrations!" hmmmm? got that one anybody?
  13. Actually, Rick has "There is no spoon" as his Yahoo Chat tag line. lol, you attempt to get me on a Star Wars? Darth Vader was warning Boba Fett. What about this one..."No, I'm from Iowa, I only work in outer space."
  14. Trek 4? really? keep trying. in keeping with sci-fi theme, try this one; "the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long."
  15. Blade Runner. Great movie, especially the end where Rutger lets Harrison Ford live. Awesome. How about, "If I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you."
  16. oooh, quoting Chuck is a slippery slope. the man can't even decide if he wants facial hair or not. but anyway, if you must, he made that unfortunate, campy statement in the classic adventure "invasion USA" which was inflicted upon the american public way back in the roaring 80's.
  17. Sweet fancy moses! how did you get that? Invasion USA? man, i can't believe it. Since you know those old crappy movies so well, maybe you can help me remember one... they were on dirt bikes, and they were gonna ride out of the back of some big plane, and the lead guy with dishwater blonde hair kisses his thumb, gives someone a thumbs up with it and winks! Now what was that movie?!
  18. Ace Hunter, i shit you not, that was the character's name. in the all time crappy classic Mega Force. i believe that is the movie your feeble intellect was grasping for. by the by, can you name a movie with John Cleese and Alan Rickman. i know it's hard for you. concentrate. put down the snowball and focus.
  19. Mega Force!!! That was it! Man, we should watch that just for ole times sakes. Now, Cleese to Rickman? Damn, tough one. I wonder if it's some english movie, since rickman is english. Maybe you are trying to get me on an old crappy movie, as you are prone to do. Was Cleese in Quigley Down Under? Maybe a minor roll im not remembering? Well, that's my best guess. Unless Rickman was in Silverado. So, Quigley! Yes?
